photos by ryan davis of brent christensen’s ice castles, with ten foot walls and forty foot towers made from more than three million gallons of water. a team of twenty grow 5,000 icicles each day that are harvested and then sculpted together using freezing water. the process is repeated once or twice a day for a few weeks until large towers, tunnels, archways, caves and caverns are created for public exploration.
